The three workhorses

Three modules. One unbroken proof.

Each module closes exactly the gap where standard handover apps fail — from taking the photo through the immutable sealing to verification in court. Together they form an unbroken chain of evidence.

Module 1 · Sealing

A record that can no longer be changed.

In one sentence: like a wax seal on a letter — once closed, any later opening is immediately visible.

When a record is completed, Comcentra Logs calculates a single digital fingerprint (a “Hash”) from the entire content — every photo, every odometer reading, every damage marking, every signature. This fingerprint acts like a wax seal on a letter: as long as it is intact, it is proven that no one has opened and altered the content. Each new record is additionally chained to the previous one — an unbroken chain per vehicle.

The problem we solveA normal PDF or photo can be edited later on a computer — change a date, retouch a scratch away. With the sealed record this is impossible: even the smallest change produces a completely different fingerprint, the seal breaks visibly.

Module 2 · Public anchoring · Bitcoin

Authenticity that anyone can recompute themselves — even without us.

In one sentence: like an entry in the public land register — except that here the Bitcoin blockchain ensures no one can change it any more.

One might ask: “And what if Comcentra Logs itself changes something?” That is exactly what this module rules out. At regular intervals, all seals are combined into a common check value and entered into a public register. This check value is additionally anchored in the Bitcoin blockchain — the best-known, globally immutable public register. Once something is in Bitcoin, no one can change or backdate it any more — not even us. Every record carries a QR code: a scan opens the verification portal, and the verifier's device recomputes in the browser itself that exactly this record is contained within it.

The problem we solveOther providers say “trust us, the document is genuine”. In court that is often not enough. With Comcentra Logs, authenticity is mathematically proven and verifiable independently of us.

Module 3 · Certified Capture

Photos that provably originated here and now.

In one sentence: like a photo with a firmly stamped-in location and time that goes straight into the vault, sealed.

The photos are taken exclusively live with the camera in the app — uploading from the gallery is not possible. At the moment of capture, location (GPS), time and device are firmly linked to the image and sealed along with it. In this way every image is inseparably bound to the moment and the vehicle.

The problem we solveThe biggest weak point of any photo-based handover system: “Is the photo even genuine — or an old one, someone else's, an edited one?” Certified Capture closes this gap directly at the source.

The verification portal

One scan of the QR code — and anyone can check for themselves.

Every record PDF carries a QR code. Whoever scans it lands in the verification portal — and their own device confirms in seconds that the record is genuine and unchanged.

Because verification works mathematically and independently of us, a Comcentra Logs record also holds up before third parties. A standard “digital form with a signature” cannot do this — a PDF can be changed after the fact, a sealed and publicly anchored record cannot.
